🌍 Regional Settings Bug (June 25, 2021)

Some users saw abnormal values (e.g., patient mass in thousands of kg) due to use of . as a thousands delimiter.
✅ Fixed in versions compiled after June 25, 2021.
🧪 A QC test is available to verify regional setting compatibility — See QC link here.

Version History

Version Date Details
v1.24 2025-05-28
  • Fixed an error in alpha dose uncertainty calculations. The radiation weighting factor was incorrectly included in absorbed dose uncertainty estimates, while it should only be included in effective dose and detriment weighted dose uncertainty calculations.
  • Recompiled using updated 2025.0 compiler to improve compatibility.
v1.23 2025-01-07
  • Recompiled with updated compiler for improved system compatibility.
  • Increased maximum allowable tumor volume to 1000 cc.
  • Unscrambled S value database for transparency and research use (path: C:\MIRDsoft\MIRDcalc\MIRDcalc_vx.xx\Lib\MCNM_DB).
v1.22 2024-11-08
  • Updated organ weighting values for effective dose calculation per ICRP 133 Table 2.3.
  • Changed whole-body dose calculation to use mass-weighted target region doses (impacts users who modify organ masses).
  • Recompiled with modern compiler to support new integration features.
v1.21 2023-07-07
  • Fixed Excel function compatibility issue affecting European tumor dosimetry users.
  • Critical fix version — all users should upgrade to at least this version. Resolved a database bug affecting mass switching between similar phantoms – the issue was in certain (albeit rare) situations an error in loading correct organ masses was possible. The new version ensures smooth/correct changes of phantoms database.
v1.2 2023-05-17
  • Updated self- and cross-dose definitions (minor impact on results; improves clarity).
  • Added user-defined save location and shorter default filenames.
  • Improved GUI layout and removed forced fullscreen behavior.
  • Enhanced support for data import and added backend integrity checks.
v1.1 2022-03-09
  • Fixed interpolation bug where S values were incorrectly set to zero when nearby phantoms had identical assigned masses.
